Shopify
- Online Store → Themes → … → Edit code, open
layout/theme.liquid. - Paste the Kindnod tag just before
</head>:
<script src="https://kindnod.com/kindnod.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_KEY" async></script>
- Save, then Verify my site in Kindnod.
Shopify's own tracking
Shopify sets its own cookies and runs its own pixels (and Shopify-managed Google and Meta channels). Those do not go through your theme's script tags, so Kindnod blocks them through Shopify's Customer Privacy API instead:
<script>
window.addEventListener('kindnod:consent', function (e) {
var c = e.detail.consent;
if (window.Shopify && Shopify.customerPrivacy) {
Shopify.customerPrivacy.setTrackingConsent({ analytics: c.statistics, marketing: c.marketing, preferences: c.preferences }, function(){});
}
});
</script>
Also turn on Settings → Customer privacy → Cookie banner → Collect before consent: off so Shopify holds its pixels until the consent call above.
Apps
Third-party apps that inject scripts cannot be marked text/plain by you. Apps that honour Shopify's Customer Privacy API will respect the call above; the rest need to be run through a tag manager or removed.
